Credit Dnepr Bank stopped cooperation with rating agency “Fitch Ratings” after affirmation of “B-“(B minus) rating13.02.2009 On February 11, 2009 International rating agency “Fitch Ratings” affirmed Long-Term IDR of Credit Dnepr Bank on the “B-” level, while the rating of Ukraine was downgraded from B”+” to “B”, following which Credit Dnepr stopped its cooperation with the agency. Chairman of the Management Board Mr. Pavel Makarov stated, that in terms of absence of international loans’ market was taken a decision to continue cooperation with one from two rating agencies — with Moody’s. Association of the Ukrainian Banks stated in its official declaration that working procedure of “Fitch Ratings” requires certain modifications as long as in indicators assessment of emerging countries’ financial institutions “strict requirements for mature markets are being used”. Assessment of the Ukrainian banking market requires alternate approach taking into account current economic situation. |
